How to Clean a Deck

Learn how to clean a deck and get cleaning tips for your wooden deck. Deck cleaning is easy with the right products.
Step 1
Clear the deck and sweep away any dry debris.
Step 2
Dilute ¼ cup Pine-Sol™ in two gallons of water.
Step 3
Mop the deck with this mixture. Avoid using Pine-Sol on wood that is unsealed, waxed, oiled or visibly worn.
Step 4
Use full-strength Pine-Sol cleaner on tougher stains, rinsing with water immediately after cleaning.
